Benoist de Peyrelongue has been a social entrepreneur involved in the community for 14 years. In Quebec since 1993, he has led an international career in the hotel and restaurant industry, in France, England or Quebec, then on his own to live his dreams and achieve a family ideal.

His beginnings in the community, accompanying several organizations in early childhood, youth and food measurement in schools, guided him to the community of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Combining his expertise and values, he has been leading a pillar organization in food security, a social economy enterprise and socio-professional integration flagship of the county, the Cuisine Collective Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

Incubator of a collective solidarity market, creator of a vegetable roof for the community, it participates in the establishment of a local food system to promote access to food for all. All its actions advocate individual and collective autonomy in an inclusive social mix with an approach of economy at the service of society.

He believes in the strength of the collective and sits on many boards in the employability and social economy sectors. Benoits is a concrete actor on the ground that helps to move collective practices in the right direction.
