Jacques Paquin

Jacques Paquin holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Université Laval. He has thirty years of experience in the analysis of transportation systems, the study of port traffic, and the evaluation and design of marine and intermodal transportation services.

Involved in the first college program in logistics at the Institut maritime du Québec (IMQ), he was responsible for its coordination and taught logistics until 2001. He also worked on the creation of the marine transportation option of the Master’s degree in marine resource management at the Université du Québec à Rimouski, where he taught port management and marine economics. He was subsequently appointed to the Executive Management of Maritime Innovation, a center for applied research in marine technology he helped create, as well as the Centre for Training and Research in Maritime and Intermodal Transportation (CFoRT), which has since been integrated into Maritime Innovation.

He has been part of the Port of Trois-Rivières team since 2007 and currently holds the position of Executive Vice-President. After having collaborated in the elaboration and implementation of the modernization plan of the port On Course for 2020, he once again plays a key role in the deployment of the new development plan On Course for 2030.
