Philippe Rainville

former President and Chief Executive Officer, Aéroports de Montréal

Philippe Rainville holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from McGill University in Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in accounting science from the Université du Québec à Montréal and has been a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec since 1986.

Mr. Rainville came to the ADM team with a solid background in large companies such as Provigo, Pepsi-Cola and, more specifically, Molson, where he held various senior management positions related to finance, strategic planning and information technology. Prior to joining Aéroports de Montréal, he was Chief Financial Officer, North America for Tarkett Inc, a multinational manufacturer of wood and vinyl floor coverings.

He joined Aéroports de Montréal in January 2008 as Vice President, Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer. As a member of the Executive Committee, he was involved in all aspects of the Corporation’s management. He was a permanent member of the audit committee and the board of directors.

In April 2014, he was appointed Vice President, Airport Planning, Engineering and Terminal Maintenance, responsible for the development, construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects, including the major expansion of the international sector completed in May 2016.

In January 2017, Mr. Rainville was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Aéroports de Montréal. His in-depth knowledge of the Corporation has been invaluable for business continuity and development.

In addition to being active in a number of charitable causes, Mr. Rainville sits on the Board of Montréal International and chairs the Fondation UQÀM as well as the Large Airports Caucus of the Canadian Airports Council.

Mr. Rainville will step down from his positions at ADM on September 5, 2023, but will provide transitional support to his successor until the end of 2023.
